Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) is staging the annual Melbourne Club Marine Sail Boat Show on the weekend of 14-15 November 2009 at the Club’s brand new premises.
Melbourne’s only dedicated sail boat show, and considered one of the best boutique sail-only shows in the country, it will feature a new format based around the new $12.75M clubhouse and waterfront facility. To view the press release on the show please click here.
Dedicated to all those who love sailing and one of the biggest events on the sailing calendar, the Show is held in a prime position at Victoria’s largest marina, situated on Melbourne’s Bayside waterfront. Supported by Club Marine and Bayside City Council, the Show will again attract up to 10,000 quality visitors plus up to 2,100 SYC Members over the weekend.
The Club Marine Sail Boat Show presents a wealth of information with professional advice to help visitors decide on the activity that suits their interest and lifestyle - all in one location. It is therefore a show not to be missed. There will be something for everyone of you who like nothing better than just messing around with boats.
Features
Exhibits - Come and view the on-water, hardstand and off the beach display areas that will be transformed to accommodate more than 100 individual exhibitor displays from around the country. A full range of monohulls, keelboats, dinghies, catamarans, trailable yachts and more will be on display.
Boat Show Alley
In the new clubhouse view more than 60 trade displays including the latest designs and technical advances such as air conditioning and fridges, engines, life jackets, masts and spars, paint, propellers, ropes and rigging, sails, sailing instruments, toilets, pumps, winches and lots more.
Family Entertainment
Take the family along too - there’s plenty for all at the including live entertainment, kids entertainment and a wide range of catering options overlooking Port Phillip Bay
Come Try Sailing - It’s free!
Always popular and at no cost, the Club Marine SYC Boating Academy is offering all show visitors the opportunity to go sailing - young and old - it’s never too early, or too late! Experienced and friendly staff will take you for your first sail.
Nautical Art Show
An Art Show displaying more than 100 individual water themed paintings and sculptures will be available for viewing.
Seafood Festival
A great weekend of food and wine promotions held onsite in the clubs food and beverage outlets including the restaurant overlooking the harbor and the boat show.

Entry cost: $5 Adults, $2 Children Under 8’s and SYC members, Club Marine policy holders and YA Silver card holders receive free entry.
